Some Body

Who? KS3
When? Available Summer 2018 at a discounted rate for all cinema-in-education bookings – limited availability.
Simone hates her body because she thinks she is too fat and can’t wear the clothes she wants to wear.
Ruben hates his body because his physical limitations mean he can’t get into the school football team.
Despite having low self-esteem, each character is ‘somebody’ and in this story they go on a journey to learn that they do, in fact, have some body.

“Some Body” is a workshop led by Ten Ten which will explore what happens when our bodies don’t live up to our hopes and expectations. It uses drama, testimony and the Gospel to encourage young people to understand their body as a crucial and beautiful part of who they are – as a gift from God – and it will help schools to pastorally support any young people who are facing similar issues.
