FIVE-DAY SCHOOLS' PROGRAMME
“The SAFER STREETS Schools Drama Project” can be delivered over a five consecutive days in one school. The great advantage of this approach is that it can lead to an in-depth, whole-school approach to fulfilling the aims and objectives of the project.
By working with participants over a number of sessions within assemblies and small groups, time and attention can be invested into the young people. This enables trust to be built, confidence to grow and the outcomes to be much greater.
Please see below an outline of a week we ran in a secondary school in Camberwell as part of the development of this project. This schedule was tailored to the particular needs of the school, working largely with Year 9 but also including input for all students from Years 7 to 11.

The programme climaxes with a presentation to whole year groups of the drama, "Sam's Story". School leadership teams may wish to the use the programme as a springboard for addressing wider school issues and putting support programmes in place in all aspects of school life.
