FEAR AND FASHION AWARD WINNERS 2010
Ten Ten Theatre are delighted to announce that they have won the national Fear and Fashion Award 2010 for The Safer Streets Project.
Presented by the think-tank Lemos and Crane, the award was given for "an outstanding example of a project that has proved successful in helping young people to stop carrying and using knives."
Martin O'Brien, Artistic Director of Ten Ten Theatre, said: "This is a wonderful recognition of the work we have been doing in schools and young offender institutions.
" In my experience, theatre in an education setting speaks very deeply to the hearts and minds of the young people we work with. This award from Lemos and Crane will really help to take our project further afield and hopefully have a huge impact on the young men and women we work with."
Ten Ten Theatre are about to embark on an exciting new phase of the project in young offender institutions around the UK, starting in November.
