Our Relationship Education programme runs on a two-year cycle (Cycle A and B). Each year, we will deliver three theatre-in-education resources for Years 1 to 6 over the course of one day (or two days for schools with three-form entry or more).

YEARS 3 & 4

CYCLE A

Harry and Kate are twins. Tomorrow it’s their birthday. It’s an exciting time as they prepare for the party and look forward to receiving presents... lots of presents. But as they fight and bicker over who will get the best gifts, their parents challenge them to consider how they can make a gift of themselves... to each other. Harry and Kate soon realise that making “a gift of self” is not as easy as it sounds.

THE GIFT explores relationships between friends and within families, and it helps children to develop strategies for selflessness.

CYCLE B

A talent contest is coming to St Mary’s Primary School with the promise of fame and fortune. For Charlotte and Anthony in Year 4, this is the opportunity they have been waiting for, and they will stop at nothing to succeed. But what does it really mean to use your talents to the best of your ability?

U SING! explores what it means “to use”. It not only helps children to understand how they can best use their gifts and talents, but it also helps them to identify the problem of using others for their own benefit.
