Founders and Directors
Martin founded Ten Ten in 2007 alongside his sister Clare, and he is the Artistic Director.
Martin began his career as a professional actor in productions such as Blood Brothers in the West End and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the National Theatre, as well as a wide variety of film and television credits, before becoming a writer. He has written for Doctors on BBC1 and numerous stage plays including The Jeweller and On Eagle’s Wings. However, he has dedicated much of the past 10 years writing, directing and producing plays for Ten Ten, including the award-winning production of This Is My Body.
Clare has worked in business management for over 25 years. Having worked for the Monopol group for 12 years in the North West she moved to London to work for Christie’s Auction House.
As a volunteer Clare was involved in Church youth work in her home parish for many years, leading the confirmation programme and youth events for her local LPA. The opportunity to form Ten Ten with her brother allowed her to combine her passion for theatre, helping young people to know God better and years of business and finance practice.
